Millions of people on the East Coast suffered Verizon Fios connectivity problems on Tuesday morning. The company failed to provide an anticipated restoration time. Verizon Fios is a fiber-optic internet phone. Verizon Wireless provides tv services. 

Newsweek reports that on November 12, a number of Verizon Fios customers experienced internet outages. And the network received hundreds of complaints. In a recent X (previously Twitter) message, the business informed customers that services would be restored as quickly as possible.

Verizon’s response to Fios customers without internet

On November 12, Verizon Support reacted to customer complaints regarding internet problems on X (previously Twitter). The service provider addressed a customer’s complaint regarding a significant internet outage. They also confirmed receiving many reports from the user’s area regarding service difficulties. Although the organization could not provide an expected restoration time, they informed clients that they were trying to restore the services.

According to Newsweek, reports of the outage surged between 12 and 2 a.m. ET early Tuesday morning. Based on the location of issues reported by users on Downdetector.  The outage spanned over 300 miles between Richmond, Virginia, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. According to the publication, the majority of the complaints were about internet outages. Followed by “total blackouts” and TV streaming disruptions.

Verizon Support had previously posted a message on X, assuming that the area was experiencing an outage or network upkeep. They were trying to gather information so that they could deliver an update to users. However, the service provider has not yet provided a restoral time.

Hundreds of Verizon consumers claim an outage: Downdetector

NEW YORK (PIX11) — If you’re a Verizon customer wondering why you don’t have service Tuesday morning, you could be hit by an outage, according to Downdetector.

As of 11 a.m., there had been approximately 500 reports. Issues peaked about midnight, with almost 44,000 reports.

Verizon Fios also experienced sporadic disruptions, according to Downdetector. More than 4,000 outages were recorded after midnight.

On November 7, the company also encountered a technical issue that disrupted phone lines, but the difficulties have already been fixed, according to an X post.

Verizon addresses a problem that plagued SLO County customers for the past week.

The Verizon wireless service outage, which had been affecting areas of San Luis Obispo County for several days, was fixed Wednesday morning.

Gayle Force, a Verizon customer and resident in Cayucos, reported that she started having issues with her phone calls arriving late last week. 

“It sounded like it was sort of coming in and out and in and breaking up, (so) that there was no way to have a conversation,” Force said to the Tribune. “When I spoke, others could clearly hear me, but I was completely unable to hear them…”

T-Mobile claims to have rectified difficulties after hundreds of consumers reported an outage. Tuesday afternoon

Thousands of T-Mobile customers experienced problems with their phone service on Tuesday afternoon. However, the carrier stated that the issues had been fixed. 

According to Downdetector, the majority of disruptions occurred at 2:30 p.m. ET, when over 19,000 customers reported issues. The bulk of reports suggested that users did not have a signal.

Based to a message obtained by USA TODAY, T-Mobile says communication has been restored.
